Does anyone have first hand experience with Ceramic finish (Ceramicoat?)? I'm satisified with hardchrome but am considering something different for an upcoming project. My interest is in something with similar wear/corrosion resistance to HC that comes in colors (had poor experience with black HC, not interested in epoxy/urethane/poly etc.). Thank you.

I don't think you will find a spray on coating that will hold up as well as HC.. The black HC doesn't stand up becaue it is not really chrome... I have not used any of them yet, so someone else will have to chime in here.... Thy using the search for "ceramicote"... I am sure I have read some good info here recently..... :D

The process I'm trying to find out about isn't "spray on". I rather imagine it's thermally cured. similar to ceramic glaze.

Good luck finding someone to do it but...

Try Boron Carbide
