mag probs

I just recieved a new mag from springfiels in the mail and this one sticks when I try and release it. It seems to have a tight fit. Is this normal? I Have never had this problem before. The mag will fall out normally when it is full but when it is empty it feels very difficult to remove. I was wondering if anybody has had this problem and what the remedy was. Thanks in advance for your replies. I posted this elsewhere.. sorry

This is just a suggestion but not a guarantee to fix the problem .Field strip the pistol , then remove the magazine release button. Insert the magazine and find out if it still sticking. If the magazine is freely fall without the magazine release, probably the slot of the magazine have a sharp edge or you dont fully deppressed the mag release due to heavy spring. If it still sticking, try to look where the mag contact with the inside of the frame by looking at the top of the frame while inserting the magazine. You may use dykem blue to identify the area of the mag which is touching heavily to the inside the the frame and do some polishing.
