If possible, please make this a tacked/sticky thread. I just wanted to let more people know about reddogxxalaskan on ebay. I purchased a "brand new full length guide rod" on ebay. After winning the item, I paid for it IMMEDIATELY using paypal. What I got in the mail was a complete piece of junk COVERED in rust. I leave this douchebag negative feedback and he lowers my rating by saying I am a bad bidder. I was 100% and did everything I was supposed to. This scumbag knows he sent me **** and is mad a me for calling him on it.
Long story, I know. I just want to start getting his name out there so more people don't buy from him.
Thanks,
Paul

This is not the first bad thing I have heard about this fella. When it comes to gun parts I go to Brownells instead of ebay.

And there is a Thumbs-Down thread on this guy as well. You didn't read that, did you Angryman?
I'll copy this thread in that Forum, so that others can see it.

This guy is a black eye to eBay and he should be banned, but I guess all the commissions eBay gets from his sales probably ensures his continued presence on eBay.

Go to Paypal and contest the sale. You can say that the item received differed substantially from the item as offered. That way, you could possibly get your money back. Enough of these and perhaps this idiot will get booted off Ebay - doubtful, but possible.

I agree with jridg, complain to paypal. If you fund paypal with a credit card, complain to them too.

I second that with jridg. I would contact paypal and e-bay customer service and explain your situation and ask them for their suggestion. I know for me and my family, to have 100% positive feedback is important...knowing that you are dependable, reliable, and accurate...which is how I would like my 1911 (NHC).
I've dealt with this guy on ebay myself. Your right, total junk parts. But one of the problems with ebay is if you value your own feedback rating, it makes it difficult to decide what is worth getting negative feedback from some scam artist just out of retribution for the feedback you left for them. Ebay might refund your money, but usually only a small percentage of the sale value, and they may request that you provide a statement from a qualified person on the actual value of the sale. Been there, done that. Good luck, and just steer clear of this guy, and look for more warnings on this site for anybody else who's trying to ripp off honest people.

I had problems with him on one bid that I won on G/B...samething...paid my money for a part and got no responce from my e-mails and no part arrived. I called him and had it out with him and had to practically threaten him with "grievous bodily harm", if I did not get the ($15) part. About a month later, after several false starts...I finally got the part and left a negative F/B on him.

Dito peeps, I ordered a grip safety from him and he sent a completely different piece than what I bid on after contacting him and sending it back, it took forever to actually get the correct one only to find out it was not .250 cut like I bid on. However I did also order a GI barrel and it came no probs. You are right about ebay feedback though I don't want a ding on my record for being honest. Since then I have picked up a Brownells catalog.
