Since this one seems to be gettin' off to a slow start, I thought this one might be of interest to some of the Springer fans. Put the coffee on and settle in...It's a long read.

Yeah! I'm gonna keep beatin' on it 'til it breaks and call Springfield and bug'em to give me another one. :p Next, I think I'll hold it under water
and shoot it a few times...

Nahhh...I'm gonna upgrade it into a real GI mil-spec equivlent and let it
rest...for a while.

Luck!

I didn't see the results of the Magafluxing posted. How did the parts look (or were you even able to have the process done)?

Not yet. My old racin' bud has his hands full at the machine shop buildin'
engines for the future Daytona 500 winners. Hope to get it done in the
next week or two.

Later on!

Sounds very reliable based on what you've done to it. Waiting on delivery of a parkerized version of thsi pistol I recently purchased. First 1911, first pistol, actually.

Welcome aboard, markk.

Just wanted to add that the pistol that endured this test now sports a refitted Kart barrel(Yes, it's an Easy-Fit w/ two equalized lugs) and is doing yeoman service as one of my carry guns. Utterly reliable...and if it were half as accurate than it is, it would still be more accurate than it needs to be in that role.
