i red a thread on here about home blueing
some one gave a link to a site with all the stuff ya need and how long and the skinny on the whole process. i have been looking for an hour and even did a search on here for it but no luck

Check this place out... http://www.blindhogg.com/ Under refinishing, he has a simple recipy for bluing salts that uses nitrate of soda instead of amonia nitrate... A lot easier to get, and a lot safer to use.... I have used this recipy... Works great...
