Thanks, I was tremendously pleased with the outcome. It's the first custom work I've had done and he did a fantastic job.

I have another Delta I may have him work on when I have the cash and he is checkering the front strap of my RZ-10#73 as we speak!

Storm Dragon, you have every right to be proud. But since you had bought some parts from Ed Brown, why didn't you get his checkered slide stop too?

I am a known hater of the Wilson slide stop, so don't let my comments bother you.

Great looking gun, congrats!

Yes, I know you don't like that particular slide stop. You commented on a Wilson slide stop on another of my Deltas. I had a Wilson slide stop on another Delta which was for sale a while back and you commented about how ugly it was. ;)

As it turns out, I didn't sell the other Delta and the original slide stop started working correctly, I don't understand why.

I never sold the gun and am glad now I didn't. :D

I choose the Wilson Slide catch on the recommendation of the gunsmith. I'll consider the other one though. Perhaps I'll have him change it out.

I looked on Brownells and Ed Brown's site and didn't see a checked slide stop unless the Hardcore one is checkered.

What do you not like about it. I don't have as descerning an eye I guess.

Neah, it's that I am hard to satisfy some times. What I do not like about it, is that there is a flat surface, the actual slide stop, and from that, another almost flat surface pops vertically out (the area you press down to release it). Where is that nice curve on the buttom, and the flat, checkered surface on the top? The Wilson slide stop looks uglier than a Sig Sauer's decocker (I have once characterised that as a coat hanger). It looks like one of those shelves there used to be in old homes, where you put you hat on them and hang your coat underneath it.

Am I peculiar or what?

As for the Brown one, I have a very bad suspission, that they discontinued to checkered slide stops. I have to start looking around for another source, even though I have checkered ones on both my guns, but I always want to have spares.

But that Delta looks great, congrats to you and to your gunsmith.

Yeah, me and the kids are going to Bermuda for the weekend before they have to go back to boarding school in Switzerland. ;)

Very nice 10mm. I am a fan of 10mm on the Colt 1911 platform and yours is a fine example of one done right.
