I'm sure this has been covered before, but I am new so please bear with me if I am beating a dead horse...what's the experience with the Simonich grips (i.e., grips on Kimber Warrior/Desert Warrior)? Thinking about getting a set but have heard little.

I have no fewer then 5 sets of grips each for my 2 Kimbers. I started with the standard Kimber rubber. I then went to wood, then to GI plastic which i later covered with grip tape. Then i bought a set of sand paper type grips. My last set was wood with very aggressive texture. I finally got a set of Simonich Gunners. I haven't looked back. The grips are very aggressive like sand paper to hold but will not catch on your clothes and it won't wear like sand paper grips do. Due to their G-10 construction they are great for hard use, out door type guns that may be subjected to the elements. For a duty, self defence combat type gun, look no further. I just orderd another set today for my CQB!
