Whats the trigger pull weight on a H&K usp 45.or 9mm in single action. I want to buy a H&K usp or glock. I know glocks have a 3.5 disconnecter for the trigger. I like h&k because it's kinda like a fat, plastic 1911. But how are the triggers. Glocks are cheaper and easyer to find parts and mags for. so what would you get.

I recenlty shot both a H&K USP .40 and Glock 23 (.40). Hands down the USP. You pay for what you get. That extra 300$ was well worth it.
Which model USP are you looking at? I shot the compact and found it to be a good, accurate gun. I liked the trigger (however others might say it is "notchy"). The Glock trigger pull was almost too easy (felt like a toy).
Not sure if they come standard, but the tritium sights are a very nice feature.
If I had the funds any one of the USPs would be on my short list of must haves.
Only thing I can say is, go shoot one. You'll most likely be hooked.

Yeah I had a USP Compact in .40 that I traded in on my Commander. Kinda wish I'd kept it ... it would have been a great carry gun.

I love the HK usp 45. but Ill thinking of going with the 9mm/its cheaper to shoot. After the military switches back to 45. the prices mite go down on 45. ammo. also magazines for the 45. usp are a crazy 50 bucks  . I want it for target shooting, maybe for the stock shooting class it the local gun ranges. Everybody and there grandma's have glock 17,22 and ruger 95's :D . I like glocks for the price and cheap parts and mags. but the usp's feel so great in my hand. I think im going with the usp in 45. Thanks for the Information :D

When you stand there looking at your target after emptying your magazine into it... and tell people you were thinking about a Glock instead they'll smack you. :p (You'd probably smack yourself too after you shoot it.) No one is going to fault you for picking a USP over a Gxx either.
9mm with 15rd magazines is nice. But I see they offer 12rd .45 mags. (thought it was only 10rd mags...). Tough decision... good luck! Stay safe and enjoy your new firearm. (If you're ever in Ohio and want to waste a few hundred rounds let me know.) :)

Whats the trigger pull weight on a H&K usp 45.or 9mm in single action.
Hello Mr Gray,
I own a 1911 gun and also a HK USP Custom Sports.
The trigger pull weight in single action is approx. 17 newtons (cal. 9mm, cal. .40 S&W and cal. .45 ACP).
In double action approx. 50 newtons :scared: .
The price is approx. 1000 Euros in Germany.
In december I wrote some notes to forum members about the HK USP tactical.
Look there and read what other members think about the HK USP before you buy.
Also it's good to read the HK manual (http://www.ing-buero-vogl.com/usp/HK USP PISTOL ARMORERS INSTRUCTIONS.pdf) and the armorers instructions (http://www.ing-buero-vogl.com/usp/usp.pdf).
You can find the manufactorers site under www.heckler-koch.de (http://www.heckler-koch.de).
HK has by the way a big base in the USA now, too.
I hope this infos can help you.
Best regards
Stephan

My friend has a Glock 22 as his duty gun, and I used to use my Glock 20 as my duty gun. We can both take out the face and 10 ring, and we both qualified expert, he got like 48/50 or something close and I got 50/50.

Mr. Gray,...I've owned 4 USP's over the last 10 years (2 compacts and 2 full size). All were very reliable and accurate weapons. The DA triggers are a bit too stiff for my liking but I'm sure a "smitty" can ease the pull somewhat.
I really like the ergonomic's of the weapon (much better than the Glocks). I have smaller hands and they just fit well, especially the ambi-mag. release (very easy to manipulate). I never found them to be as accurate as my 1911's, but reasonable.
Good Luck ;)
