Can anyone tell me if there are any other grip makers that have the green/grey wood, checkered grips like what Wilson Combat sells on there firearms. I am not above buying the Wilson grips but I would like to see if anyone else has that color of checkered grips. I think my SA Compact could use a set of these .Thanks

I don't know about wood grips, but VZ Grips has a pretty wide selection of colors with lots of green thrown in. Click on their banner at the top of the page to see their samples.

Edited: I just looked at the Wilson site...I didn't see any grey/green wood grips advertised. The only green I saw were Micarata -- which is what VZ offers. The VZ's are only slightly cheaper, but they seem to have more patterns to choose from.

The wilson ones you are talking about are made by Ahrends... I have a set, but they are messed up....

I just looked at the site again and the grips are not green they just look like it on the green frames. But I like the look of the darker grips on the black frames and so far the wilson grips have stuck keep sticking in my head. It's down to the grey wood checkered grips or the black AlumaGrips

I've emailed Hakan 3 times trying to check price and availablity on a set of grips....no response to date.

That is a shame. I left him a question about a pair and have not heard back from him yet either. I'll keep trying and let you know.

Have you thought about Simonich Gunner grips. They make a Green/Black color. They have a very agressive golf ball texture. I have them on my guns and i believe they are the way to go for hard use guns.

I have looked at every grip web site that I can find and the only wood grips I like are the Wilsons but I am not crazy about the medalions on them. I was wondering what the OD Brown AlumaGrips would look like. My SA Compact came with a Hogue wrap around and I'm tired of it. I'm wanting something different than black on black. If anybody has any pics of the brown AlumaGrips on thier wepon I would like to se 'em. Thanks.

I do have 2 or 3 sets of grips from Kimbers( only 1 with Kimber name in them) in the black/green like you are looking for.

I have 2 sets-1 came off my Tactical Pro II when I put on a set of Lazza Davidsons Wyrm grips and the other is off my Eclipse Pro Target II when I put black Alumagrips and a magwell on it. Both went back in their original boxes for the future.
Not teasing but can't see getting rid of them on the off chance I might decide to sell one of those guns in the distant future.

Has anyone here tried 'gunner' grips and VZ grips side by side.

Or has owned both.

Would appreciate a comparison. I like my Gunners on my Warrior, but would like to compare the two grips.

Haken has been having some health problems for quite some time. I'm not sure he is back to making grips again yet. Be patient, Haken is upstanding and will get back to you when possible I'm sure.

GOOD NEWS! Hakan responded to me today and I am getting info to order a few pairs of his awesome grips. I'll let you all know how it goes.
