My WW1 Repro only made it about a week before it developed serious problems. The slide was closiing forward of the rear of the frame; the barrel was quite obviously not fitted correctly, and the slide was "hogged" out uneven on the inside, and scratches from the barrel lugs actually fishooked towards the front! Good news is that I returned the pistol to Colt; they quoted me a month to fix it. Well, I got it back in two weeks and they totally replaced the top end. It now has a new fitted slide, and a brand new hand fitted barrel and bushing. They did a really nice job on it, and I am very happy that they didn't even bother trying to repair the old parts. Probably cheaper just to replace them anyway. The pistol is now even prettier that it was before, as I swear the blueing on this slide is nicer. The inside of the slide is literally polished; with no marks of any kind anywhere! I have to give Colt credit for how well they take care of their customers; well at least as far as this customer is concerned. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet, too busy at work, but will try to this weekend.
