Hope this is the right Forum to ask this question.
I've never used a rest in my life but lately (pushn' 60) I think it might be time to start.
I did do some homework and am leaning toward a filled leather bag as they're cheaper and have no moving parts (KISS). But I thought I'd ask what you use and where you bought your handgun rest?
Thank you much.

don't really care for that type shooting myself, like the action pistol games like, pins, plates and IDPA type targets.
Don't let the age thing bother you, you are only as old as you want to be. Hey, you may think you are old at pushing 60 but I can still hold my own with most of the youn guys and I am dragging 70+ a few.

Only time I use a rest is to sight it in and I've got a Hornady rest thing it's red and has 3 sides with varying hieghts. Don't know what it costs since I got it free from my dad when he was working at a plastic molding company. If cost is a factor just a straight sandbag will work for what you want. And I'm with Bear and the Oldman I know and shoot with several 70 and 80+ shooters that can still shoot without a rest. But I also know one 81 year old that shoots a .22 with a rest and a scope, but he enjoys it so I don't knock him. Basically when it comes to shooting just do what you like and makes you happy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
