Hello, All

I just bought my first RIA 45 and its awesome. For the money you cant bet it. i shot 50 rds through it without a hicup. I can't complain. My question is, Could anyone tell me what the best drop-in hammer, sear, trigger, etc combo one can do to the RIA 45. I can do some gunsmithing but I'm looking for the best all around setup for smoothness. I would like everyone's opinion and the best place to get them(price and avalibility). Thank you all for your time

John

Cylinder & Slide make some nice kits. I have never tried them, and I never had a RIA, so I can't be sure but their kits are top notch, according to what I read here.

Just make sure you get the series 70 hammer, I made a mistake and bought a Chip McCormick hammer and the hammer would drop at half cock. So I got a Wilson Combat instead. They make a trigger hammer disconnector and sear kit I think. All of my internals except for the hammer are original and work great.

I have a distant cousin in relation to the RIA, a CD EFS model. I just dropped in a C&S action kit (spring, hammer, sear, disconnect). The CD had a very heavy trigger pull, it was clean/crisp, but heavy none the less (I would estimate it to be around 8'ish lbs). The parts dropped in without an issue, I did have to do some very minor fitting with the safety. And it's gone through 200rnds now without a problem. A little pricey, but for me it was worth it.

Thanks all for the views, I've decided to use cylinder-slide for my parts. I've heard good reviews with over all fit and quality. Only problem is my lack of places to buy. Where is the cheapest place to buy these parts?

Thanks all
