The barrel is the Norinco, it was cut and re crowned. The gun locks up well and shhots great.

Was it a Government model barrel or a Commander size barrel. There is a huge difference between the two when you look at the front of the lower locking lug and the chamber extension just forward of the upper locking lugs. Just cutting a Government model barrel down to Commander length will result in the barrel bushing skirt making hard contact with the barrel chamber extension, short stroking the slide, damaging the barrel and cracking the bushing. The front of the lower lug will ride the top of the recoil spring guide rod head and force an unstable, but very solid lock up position until the lower lug and guide rod become peened.

Stans,

I know this is a month old, but can we see pictures of where a Government barrel has to be altered to fit in a Commander slide/frame?
