I picked up a pre Kahr Auto a month ago it looked almost new no wear or other noticable use I took it out to the range last weekend loaded it up and ran 14 rounds through with no problems. After that it now jams on extraction, tried other mags to no avail any ideas?

When you say "jams on extraction" are you saying the spent case is still "hooked" onto the extractor? Or is it a "stove pipe" type of jam where the spent case is caught in the slide when trying to return to battery?

the case will not pass the next round in the mag it jams on the front of the case right behind the bullet on the rim

if I'm picturing this right, it sounds like the extractor hook is slipping off the spent case, leaving it possibly still in battery, and jamming as the gun tries to load the next round. Do I have that pretty much right?
I'd check your extractor and its tension. There are some great links on our Home page to help with checking and adjusting the extractor. Go here: http://www.m1911.org/full_technic.htm
If my diagnosis is wrong, this page still has a plethora of useful information, too. And maybe one of our seasoned 1911 experts can set both of us straight.

the empty cartridge when extracting jams right on the front rim of the new cartridge
and the slide continues backwards leaving the two cartridges jammed

I had a charles daley that did that. i put a wilson extractor in and it is now real reliable. you might want to take a brush to the area around the extractor. crude in there can cause it. dropping the slide on a round already in the chamber can screw up the extractor, esp a cheap one.

Sounds like a weak extractor.
